Further Information
- All applicants must provide official records of their
Criminal and Transport Offence History from all countries that
they have resided in for more than 6 consecutive months within
the past 5 years. The form explains how to obtain these for New
Zealand.
- Identity and address-for-service is verified by supplying
copies of documents (the form lists what can be used) that are
verified by a referee (the form details requirements of the
referee).
- A shorter form, the Fit and Proper Person Declaration (CAA
24FPPDEC) may be used by applicants who have been determined Fit
and Proper previously and:
- who within the past 24 months have completed a Fit and
Proper Person Questionnaire (CAA 24FPP - Rev 7 or later),
since 1 Feb 2007, and
- where the facts and information declared previously are
unchanged.
- The provision of false information or failure to disclose
information relevant to the grant of holding of an aviation
document constitutes an offence under Section 49 of the Civil
Aviation Act 1990 and is subject, in the case of an individual,
to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to a fine
not exceeding $10,000, and in the case of a body corporate to a
maximum fine of $50,000.
