Social Activities Programme
This page will be updated as arrangements are finalised. Here are details so far:
- On Sunday 15 Nov a bus trip to see the sights of the geothermal wonderland Rotorua is planned, with suitable opportunities to learn about the local Maori culture. If time permits, this trip may include the magical Waitomo Caves. Cost arrangements for this trip have not yet been determined and will be advised closer to the meeting.
- On Monday 9 Nov Ashley Smout, CEO, Airways New Zealand would like to invite all delegates and partners of SASP/16 to 'taste New Zealand'. Bus transport has been arranged for the evening and will depart the Rendezvous Hotel entrance at 6.30pm where you will be taken to sample some of New Zealand's culinary delights. Dress code is smart casual. Cameras are optional.
- A visit to the Auckland Oceanic Control Centre is planned in the second week of the meeting at the discretion of the Panel Chair and in co-operation with Airways. This visit will provide visitors with the opportunity to view the Oceanic Control System and the new Multilateration Surveillance System at Auckland.
