The Separation and Airspace Safety Panel (SASP) is a panel of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Air Navigation Commission (ANC). It is responsible for the development of international separation standards and recommended safety practices.
The SASP has 23 members representing contracting States, international organisation members, and a number of advisers. The panel meets every six months.
The SASP makes an important contribution to aviation safety through its safety assessment of changes before international implementation.
The Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand will host the 2009 panel meeting in Auckland, with support from Airways New Zealand and Air New Zealand.
