Government Relations
The Government Relations Group is an important link between the CAA and the Minister of Transport, who represents the public interest in aviation safety.
The Group administers the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and international relations responsibilities and provides ministerial support and policy advice in the safety and security areas.
As part of the Group, the Rules Development Unit manages the aviation rules development programme under contract to the Ministry of Transport.
