HSE Unit

As part of the CAA, the Health and Safety in Employment Unit (HSE Unit) provides information and guidance to assist employers and operators in the aviation sector.

With the focus of  the health and safety of people who work on board aircraft, the HSE unit inspects workplaces where necessary and audits health and safety management systems, investigates accidents, complaints and concerns that involve the health and safety of people, and checks on compliance with the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992.

Currently the unit has two staff members.

Work related personal injury can be reported using the Notification of Accident form. Should you wish to report a complaint or concern you can call either of the staff member's direct dial numbers, however in an emergency you can call toll free on 0508 ACCIDENT (0508 222 433).
