Maintenance Rules Changes
Operator Maintenance Requirements
From 01 Mar 07, significant rule changes will affect the way operators plan maintenance on their aircraft, and have that maintenance carried out. In particular, the amendments to rule Parts 43 and 91 introduce changes to the Annual Review of Airworthiness (ARA), engine overhauls, and maintenance programmes.

To explain the changes to operators and maintenance providers, the CAA provided a series of seminars throughout the country. Below are the documents from the seminars.

The files below for Rule Parts 1, 43, 91, 119, 135 and 145 comprise the Operator Maintenance Requirements Seminar workbook, and are headed up with the Cover and Contents file which contains the legend. The Powerpoint presentations for the seminars are also available for both the operator and maintainer sessions.
Comparisons have also been compiled for Parts 103, 104, 106 and 121. Comparisons have not yet been compiled for the other rules affected by these amendment packages (eg: 21, 26, 39, 146, etc).
Please note that the rule comparisons only address the changes – if a particular rule or sub paragraph has not been included, then that rule has not been changed and remains effective in its existing form.
