Australian Engineers – The TTMRA and Getting your Licence Recognised in New Zealand
Under the provisions of the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Act (TTMRA), Australian aircraft maintenance engineers who wish to operate in New Zealand must first register with the CAA on form CAA 24066-08 TTMRA Licence Registration AME.
Registered engineers may exercise the privileges of their licence in New Zealand without having to hold a New Zealand licence, but are required to keep their qualifications continuously current under the Australian legislation.
