Part 66 AMEL Examination Stand Down Requirements
The CAA has amended its policy relating to AME Examinations. This is to align with a similar requirement for Flight Crew licensing.
In respect to AME examinations, an applicant who fails any specific written or oral examination three times within a period of three months shall be ineligible to reapply for that examination for a period of three months from the date of their last unsuccessful attempt.
AC 66-1, under the heading 66.13, currently only requires this stand down for Subject 21-Air Law Oral. The AC will be amended to reflect the stand down period for all examinations.
This was effective 5 August 2002.
