Civil Aviation Rules
In accordance with section 32(1) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, each Civil Aviation Rule made by the Minister of Transport must contain a statement specifying the objective of the rule and the extent of any consultation undertaken. It has been brought to our attention that the required statements have not been available on this web site. This is being rectified as soon as possible. Rule amendments that have been published on the web site since mid 1999 should contain the required statement. In the interim, should anyone wish to view the statement for an original Rule Part or any particular Amendment, a request to: info@caa.govt.nz would be appropriate.
The CAA offers a FREE notification service that will send you an email alerting you to some changes relating to rules, airspace, and airworthiness. This is provided as a helpful aid – you should not rely on any such service for compliance – email is too unreliable for that.
The links below will take you to a web page for each Rule. On that page there is a link to view the CAA Consolidated Rule, and another link to view all the Amendments. You can view and download any of these documents at no charge.
