The CAA investigates aviation accidents and incidents to find the causes, and to prevent them from happening again. Every aviator, from pilots, to engineers, to airlines, to designers, to ground crew, reports their accidents and incidents to the CAA. The CAA's investigators work with the reporter to find out what happened and why.
Often a seemingly small event can highlight a potentially serious problem.
