IA (Inspection Authorisation) Certificate Courses
A Part 66 IA Certificate is an additional qualification, over and above holding a Part 66 AME Licence, to perform and certify the following two maintenance functions:
- an Annual Review of Airworthiness (ARA)
- conformity of Major Modifications and Repairs.
2012 Renewal Courses
In 2012 CAA will be running the third round of the renewal courses for the Certificate of Inspection Authorisation that was first introduced in 1997. Currently there are approximately 170 IAs with about 70 due for renewals during 2012, for some this will be their third renewal. It is proposed to run 4/5 courses in February and March 2012, locations and dates being:
